Kelli graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology. She received her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2002. While in private practice, Kelli specialized in the areas of tort and insurance defense litigation and represented insurance companies in workers' compensation matters. Kelli joined Western Litigation in 2006 as a Claims Attorney.
