Richard graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He was recruited directly from college and began his career with Travelers' Special Liability Group where he managed toxic tort litigation for national accounts. Richard continued his career in risk management, joining Marsh USA in 2000. While at Marsh, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President working on Fortune 1000 accounts across a wide range of industries providing analytical, financial and brokerage services. In 2005, Richard joined Arthur J. Gallagher's National Healthcare practice where he was engaged in business development and marketing. In April of 2007, he joined Western Litigation, Inc., as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.
