Susan received her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1984 after receiving her Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting criminal cases, then later defended police officers in Section 1983 cases while serving as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Angelo, Texas. Susan's concentration in insurance defense litigation began when she joined USF&G Insurance Co., followed by a job as in-house defense counsel for the Liberty Mutual Group serving as lead attorney in Texas for their toxic tort section. She then served as a claims management attorney with Farmers SAE Group focusing on large loss cases. Susan joined Western Litigation, Inc. as a Claims Attorney in April 2007.
